Like every adventure, this one began with a journey: Angelo Poretti went to Austria, Bohemia and Bavaria, where he met the best brewmasters and learned the secrets of the art of brewing. He then returned to Italy and realized his lifelong dream: in 1877 he opened his own brewery in Valganna (now located in Iduno Olona). The springs there provide the purest water, which contributes significantly to the high quality of this exceptional beer. Luppoli is a straw yellow lager with a harmonious balance between fruity hop aromas and a clean malty base.

The beer from Lombardy. Birrificio Angelo Poretti was founded by Angelo Poretti. Once, after having completed his professional training as a brewer, he traveled through Bavaria, Bohemia and Austria, fulfilling his dream of having his own brewery exactly on December 26, 1877 in Lombardy. But by the beginning of the 20th century, the brewery had reached the limits of its capacity and needed to find a new home. Iduno Olona was the target, which was close to the Swiss border. The brewery moved into the Art Nouveau building designed by Ulisse Stacchini, who would later also design Milan's main train station. Interesting are the names of the beers from Poretti, which always bear the number of hop varieties used. For example, there is the well-known Luppoli 4, where the name means something like "hop 4".
