Invented at Brooks's Club in London in 1861 to mourn the death of Prince Albert - the Black Velvet. A champagne glass is filled one third with champagne and two thirds with Guinness. This drink is given an alternative with the addition of "a poor man's" Black Velvet. The twist: the champagne is replaced by cider and everything is served in a Guinness glass.
The vacation feeling is guaranteed with the Cubeer Libre! First, quarter a lime and put it in a glass with ice cubes. Then we pour 20cl of brown rum and 10cl of cola into the glass. Finally, open a bottle of brown ale to top it all off.
Great for a late afternoon in the summer and for any New Year's Eve party! Again, we start with the limes. This time, however, they are cut into quarters and placed in a glass with a tablespoon of cane sugar and 2.5cl white rum and mashed with a bar pestle.
Now add crushed ice up to half of the glass. Last but not least, the whole thing is topped up with a bottle of San Miguel Fresca. Ready is the drink that calls for a vacation!
