The good old Panaché simply can't be missing from this list - after all, we don't want to forget perhaps the most popular mixed beer drink of all. It is known by numerous other names such as Radler, Alsterwasser or Shandy. It is always the same distinctive mixture of light beer, such as a classic Tuborg, and lemonade or simply "Citro".
In northwestern Germany, the panaché is slightly modified, because here orange soda is used, which is mixed with Pilsner. The sausage water is ready! A bit darker than a Radler, but tastes just as fresh and light. And sorry for the name - it was not our idea!
Cola beer, cola wheat, dirty or also dirt bag. A mixture of beer and cola - that's what "Diesel" is all about. Again, we are dealing with a mixed beer drink that has numerous names and is enjoyed in slightly different variations. A special form is the "Goass", which is usually served in a stein. It consists of cola, dark beer and optionally a shot of cherry liqueur or cognac.
This mixed beer drink has nothing to do with the principality of the same name - at least no one has been able to explain the connection to us conclusively. If you order a Monaco in an inn, you get a beer with grenadine syrup. By the way, the combination of wheat beer and syrup (for example raspberry or woodruff) is often called Berliner Weisse - wrongly. Berliner Weisse is simply a wheat beer brewed in the Berlin style. Only the addition "with shot" stands for the addition of syrup.
A gentleman's table has it all! Unlike the women's set, where sparkling wine is mixed with something non-alcoholic, a gentleman's set consists of two types of alcohol. Usually it is a Pils and a Korn, but they are served separately. In some areas, however, Herrengedeck refers to a rather special mixed beer drink. Here, a beer glass is first filled four-fifths full with beer and then carefully topped up with sparkling wine.
